Why do we wear pink?

The Coledale Waves wear pink as a show of solidarity in our fight against cancer, and to acknowledge all the members, and in our community, who lives have been affected by cancer over the years.

Several years ago, our then president and executive team made the decision to wear pink to support the fight against cancer. For a brief time we combined with the McGrath Foundation, to make pink our club colour.

Since then, and a few shades of pink later, our jerseys change, and our members come and go over time, but our pink is here to stay.

Cancer is still effecting members of our club and our community each day, but we stand firm and resolute against cancer and wear our pink jerseys and merchandise with extreme pride.

To those in our community affected by cancer, know that you are not alone.
